Hands as soft as cotton

The wind and the cold weather always have bad influence on our hands. On the other hand they tell a great deal about ourselves to other people, especially when we meet them for the first time. So here are a few tips for hands as soft as cotton.

  1. Always wear gloves because the skin on our hands is very thin and dry and very sensitive to wind and cold weather. When you go out don't forget to put a nice pair of gloves and when your destination is the kitchen don't forget your rubber gloves.

  2. Hydrate - the dry air in our homes and offices has bad influence on our hands that's why we should always use air moisturisers. It will be enough if you put a bowl with some water and a few drops of some essential oil to enjoy with all your senses.

  3. Make your own hand cream- mix some butter and honey and add some herbs like hives and dendelion. This will give extra softness to your hands.

  4. Make your own package for your hands- after each use of washing powder and detergent put several lemon drops on your hands. This will restore the natural moisture and Ph balance to your hands.

  5. Make your own bath for your hands. In warm water put some dried hives, camomile or marigold and keep your hands in the mixture for 15 minutes. After that give your hands a nice massage with some almond oil and several drops of rosemary essential oil.

  6. Hand peeling- Once a week prepare a home made peeling for your hands. Mix three teaspoons of almond oil, one teaspoon of sea salt and one teaspoon of honey. Then give a good rub to your hands.
